"Unica Amor" One Love

It's only been forever since I've posted on my blog...I don't even know where to begin!!  So I won't and will save all of that stuff for later.  Now for some much needed and badly missed scrapbooking goodness!  This is a wonderful layout I did for a former co-worker friend of mine.  I did an entire scrap album for her, which to be honest, I was not too satisfied with.  But this...came out BEAUTIFUL!  I am now a fan of tone on tone scrapping!  Products:  Paper, bling and pickett fence by Recollections, hand formed Flowers cut by Cricut and Fiskars. Paint and glue by Ranger Ink. Thanks for looking!

The Power Walk

Getting down to the final photos for my friend Barbara, aka Allie...The Power Walk? Huh?  The story behind the photo:  Just before our re-enactment group would do a show, Morgan, Wyatt, Virgil and Doc would gather together and say, "Shall we?" and go into their formation of what we would call, the "Power Walk". When they would do this, patrons would stop whatever they were doing and watch them walk by...many with cameras at the ready to capture the moment and would also follow the boys where they would be lead the onlookers straight to the next show.  Even though they would do this all the time, it was always great fun to watch.  I will never forget  the chills I felt when they did this same walk during the 125th Anniversay of the Gunfight at the OK Corral in Tombstone.  I watched as they came down the same street as the original Earps and Doc Holliday, at the exact same time (2:40 PM), when and approximately where the gunfight took place followed by the re-enacted shootout .  I would say that, that moment was the absolute height of the re-enactment group's events-of all time.  Lovely memories, indeed!  Thanks for taking a peek!

May Guest Scrapfit Submission - Stand By Your Man

My second submission for my May Guest Scrapfit Girl at http://Scrapfit.blogspot.com    Stand By Your Man

Naturally, I had to choose me and my hubba bubba for this one!  This pic is and always will be a favorite of mine with my wonderful husband, Robert.  It was taken a few years ago in Tombstone, Arizona, with one of my favorite dress ensembles.  Sadly, our little "home away from home" the Tombstone Boarding House has closed down. But it was a pleasant little Bed and Breakfast we loved to stay in, when we would vacation there.  So happy to have the memories there and this layout that I had created for this photo.  Thanks for looking!

Badge No. 1

Hello Friends! Here is, yet another layout (four more pics to go) for my friends Memorial Album of her late husband Daryl, (aka Virge).  The series of photos shown in this double layout were taken at McFly's Photography Studio in Tombstone, AZ. The former owner acquired the original badge, in mint condition, I may add, that belonged to Marshal Fred White.  He was the first Marshal in Tombstone Territory and was fatally wounded by Curly Bill Brocious, one of the Cowboys that was involved in the famous Gunfight at the OK Corral.  This was a momentous moment for our Virge as the only other person other than Fred White that had ever worn this badge was none other than the real Virgil Earp!  I'll never forget this moment, watching his face as they pinned that badge on his lapel...I thought I saw a tear about to come out of his eye!  The photography studio took some great shots of him wearing it, along with great shots of My husband (aka Morgan Earp) and John (aka Wyatt Earp) proudly standing next to him with their hands on his shoulder, as well as his wife, Barbara (aka Allie Earp).  I also included a closeup of the badge, which is pure silver and not to be touched with bare hands! Thanks for looking!

Layout Info:  Paper: K and Company, Tim Holtz, Bazzil Basics. Ink: Ranger Industries Tim Holtz Distress Line. Paint: Ranger Industries Adirondak paints, Stickles, and Rock Candy Distress. Glue: Glossy Accents, Recollections. Grunge letters: Tim Holtz Ideology. Sizzix Products: Tim Holtz Embossing folder and Sizzix Die cut in Vine. Photo corners: Recollections.
